Filoli House & Garden Master Plan

As part of a larger master plan for Filoli Historic House & Gardens in Woodside, California, JLP+D provided market assessment of key programmatic and revenue opportunities, along with a review of the potential financial benefits of various investments as the cultural attraction positions itself for continued growth. The analysis included an assessment of current programs and services, evaluation of financial feasibility of various physical and programmatic investments, and a survey of relevant case studies demonstrating successful, replicable efforts. JLP+D identified opportunities to maximize potential of underutilized space on the property and suggested priorities for a range of nodes for activation, all with an emphasis on increasing visitorship, promoting visibility within the Bay Area cultural scene, and supporting the organization’s ongoing fiscal health.

JLP+D evaluated both capital investments and programmatic opportunities to assess their revenue potential, and identified key opportunities for smoothing seasonal attendance fluctuations and for generating revenue through expanded events rentals at a number of locations across the property, while supporting a balanced review of the upsides and risks of various large capital investments, including expanded parking and enhanced food & beverage facilities and offerings.
